Landmark Education
Landmark approached us with the need to develop a worldwide
network application to run their company. As a private education company,
Landmark puts on forums and classes in 56 global offices. The company needed a
software program to schedule and coordinate classes, students, teachers and
accounting. Their current custom program ran locally at each center, which
meant that data consolidation and system management was a nightmare.
Furthermore, it was slow and cumbersome to use.
Paradux worked with Landmark to develop a completely new web-based application
to run over the Internet. After nine months of development, the program offers
central information access to all users around the world in their native
language with the utmost security. And although it is being run from their San
Francisco World Headquarters, it's much faster than the old system, even via
dial-up access. Paradux has continued to work with Landmark in an on-going
relationship since 2000, adding a variety of modules to expand the program's
capabilities. It is now among the most advanced and complex intranets in the
world.
In addition to this project, Paradux has built a suite of web services for
integration with their web site as well as made major enhancements to their
business intelligence/reporting software and scheduling systems. Paradux has
also consulted on such varied topics as web site analytics, network
infrastructure and participated in the hiring of Landmark's IT employees.
"Paradux exceeds our expectations for on-time and within-budget
deliverables year after year. In addition to being sustainable and reliable,
their technology solutions are innovative and always grounded in our business
vision and objectives ." - Wednesday Reynolds Web Manager,
